Hear It From Farmer Tim Wilds

Farmer Tim Wilds InduroPro testimonial — RBR Venturi Salford RA-885 Jennings LA

Farmer Tim Wilds, Owner/Operator — BWT Farms, Jennings, LA. Applied by Guardian Preservation Systems.

"We're coating this entire machine with InduroPro. The entire machine. Hydraulic fittings, wheels, underbelly, the motor, anything, the plastic. I decided to coat the entire machine."

The Test: Wear-Point Application on an Existing Machine

Before committing to a full machine coat, Farmer Tim started with the smart approach — apply InduroPro to the high-wear points on his existing RBR Venturi + Salford RA-885 spreader and let the field decide. Brackets, axles, mounting hardware, and the steel panels most exposed to fertilizer contact were coated in January 2025.

The application was performed by the InduroPro team. Every high-wear zone was sealed with ceramicized epoxy — leaving the rest of the machine uncoated as a real-world control group.

The Proof: Coated vs. Uncoated — Same Machine

Six months after the wear-point application, Farmer Tim brought the team back to document what happened. The results weren't close.

The coated components — brackets, axles, mounting hardware — showed zero new rust. The uncoated sections of a second uncoated machine, exposed to the same season of fertilizer, moisture, and field conditions, had already begun to show visible corrosion. Same season. Different outcome.

This is the proof that changed Farmer Tim's mind about what to do with his new machine.

A $600K Decision — Protected From Day One

Farmer Tim trades his RBR Venturi + Salford every two years. Each machine costs approximately $600,000 new. At trade-in, he typically recovers around $200,000 — a $400,000 depreciation hit on every cycle.

After seeing the 6-month proof on his coated machine, the decision on a second spreader — same age, same season — was straightforward. This machine was 1 year old and starting to show wear, rust, and corrosion from fertilizer, humidity, and UV. Guardian Preservation Systems applied InduroPro across the full machine — every painted surface, every panel, every high-wear point — to stop the rust before it advanced any further.

"On the original demo on that machine that was done in January, it has stopped all the rust. Haven't seen any new rust on it, has really held up. That's why I've decided to do the entire machine."

Not a test this time. A full commitment, based on evidence.
