Thomas Oil Field Services supplies water transfer pumps that operate in some of the toughest conditions across Texas. With machines constantly exposed to moisture, dirt, chemicals, and transport-related wear, long-term surface protection is critical to keeping assets in service and generating revenue. Thomas Oil Field Services partnered with InduroPro to coat one of their water transfer pumps as a proof of concept for protecting their rental fleet.

Prior to application, the pump was thoroughly cleaned and any existing rust was mechanically removed using a wire wheel. Once properly prepared, InduroPro was applied to create a durable ceramicized epoxy barrier designed to protect painted and metal surfaces from rust, corrosion, and environmental degradation as the equipment is rented out job after job.

Proper surface preparation is a critical first step before applying InduroPro to equipment.

Any existing rust was removed using a wire wheel, and the machine was fully cleaned to eliminate dirt, oil, and residue. InduroPro is not a rust remover, which is why addressing corrosion beforehand ensures the coating can bond correctly and deliver long-term protection once the pump returns to service.
