INDUROPRO DOUBLES PROTECTION FOR FROGCO'S CAT EXCAVATORS

In Houma, Louisiana’s humid and salt-heavy climate, even well-maintained excavators can begin to rust within a year. Frogco LLC, a leading equipment rental company, partnered with the InduroPro team to protect four of its CAT 330 hydraulic excavators before another season of demanding field use.

Each excavator was cleaned, prepped, and coated with four 17 oz kits of InduroPro, covering the painted cabs, all exposed metal surfaces, and the first boom arm extending from the machine. The second arm and bucket—areas constantly exposed to sand, rock, and heavy abrasion—were intentionally left uncoated, as these components experience wear beyond what any protective coating is designed to endure.

InduroPro is a semi-permanent ceramicized epoxy coating engineered for maximum performance on painted and metal surfaces. When applied properly, it resists UV damage, oxidation, and corrosion—extending repaint intervals and preserving equipment finish in some of the toughest environments. With this application, Frogco is expected to double the protective lifespan of each excavator’s coated surfaces, reduce downtime, and keep its fleet looking professional and rental-ready.

CLEANING, RUST REMOVAL AND SURFACE READINESS

The InduroPro team visited Frogco LLC in Houma, Louisiana to protect a fleet of CAT 330 hydraulic excavators operating in extreme humidity and salt-rich conditions. Before any coating could begin, each machine was properly cleaned and prepped for application.

InduroPro is not a rust remover or resurfacing product—surface preparation is essential. Any rust should be removed through sandblasting or an appropriate rust-removal agent, and chipped paint areas should be touched up before coating. Once cleaned and stabilized, the surface is ready for InduroPro’s advanced protection layer.

Four excavators in Frogco’s rental fleet were coated using 4 × 17 oz kits of InduroPro per machine, covering the painted cabs, excavator arms, and all exposed metal components. This semi-permanent coating creates a ceramicized epoxy shell that locks out moisture, resists abrasion, and stands up to the demanding work environments these machines face. By applying InduroPro before the equipment is rented out, Frogco is preventing early-stage corrosion and extending the period between costly paint maintenance cycles.
